Our sports festivals are exclusively designed for our sports based after school and evening club attendees, to cap off and celebrate their learning!
We switch our sports club focus each school term and keep it consistent across all of our schools and clubs. All children involved are then invited along to represent their school or club for some friendly competition during our Festival at the end of that school term. Grown ups are welcome to accompany their child on the day or leave them in our duty of care.
All children who attend one of our Festivals receive a medal, with special awards going to 3 children from each key stage and for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.
We also award a team trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! As well as this, we award our O’Reilly award trophy to one lucky team, which can be for a variety of reasons. This award is given in loving memory of Jody O’Reilly – who had a hugely positive impact on the formation of With The Ball and took great pride in lifting the confidence of others.
The 2025/26 Festival Stars season is complete!
After six incredible sports festivals, Longlevens Infants have been crowned our overall champions with 26 Festival Stars. Beech Green finished just one star behind in second place, while St Joseph’s secured the final podium position. Every star awarded throughout the season recognised effort, teamwork, improvement, sportsmanship and the way children represented their club or school.

Longlevens Infants finish the season at the top of the table and ensure that the Festival Stars championship trophy remains within the Longlevens Federation for an incredible fourth consecutive year.
Beech Green improve on last season’s bronze medal by finishing second, while St Joseph’s earn another Festival Stars podium finish.
